Paul Reid joined MGI Securities in July 2010 as a Senior Investment Banker to focus on the mining and metals investment banking practice.
For the past 10 years Mr. Reid has completed numerous financings for small to mid cap mining and metal explorers, developers and producers. Prior to joining MGI Securities, Mr. Reid worked for CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services and State Street Canada. Mr. Reid has a MBA from the Wilfrid Laurier School of Business and Economics and Undergraduate Degree in Economics from Queen’s University.

Lawrence Rhee joined MGI Securities in July 2010 as a Senior Investment Banker to focus on the technology and special situations investment banking practice.
For the past 12 years, Mr. Rhee has worked in investment banking and equity research for CIBC World Markets and major independent broker dealers including GMP Securities and Genuity Capital Markets in Canada. Mr. Rhee’s experience with investment valuation and deep knowledge of the technology sector in Canada has garnered him 3 Top 3 rankings from 2006 to 2009 in the Annual StarMine survey of top equity research analysts in Canada. Most recently, Mr. Rhee was ranked the #2 stock picker in the Canadian Software and IT Services sector for 2009. Mr. Rhee is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst and received his MBA from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Thompson joined MGI Securities in 2010 and is currently a Senior Associate, Investment Banking in the Saskatoon, Saskatchewan office. He has a broad range of experience within the energy and resource industries, with primary focus on mining, oil & gas and agriculture. He has contributed to numerous transactions including sell-side M&A, IPOs, equity and debt capital raises and fairness opinions.
Prior to joining MGI Securities, Mr. Thompson held a director position in the Petroleum Division of an $8.6 billion western based company where his duties included providing financial analysis on petroleum development projects.
Prior to this, Mr. Thompson acted as a consultant with an international valuation firm that provides sophisticated financial and advisory services to real estate companies, investment firms, banking institutions, real estate developers and other owners and operators of real estate across a variety of asset types.Mr. Thompson holds a Masters of Business Administration from University of Phoenix, a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with Distinction) from the University of Saskatchewan and a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Economics from the University of Saskatchewan. Mr. Thompson completed his Canadian Securities Course in 2011.
Mr. Thompson is a Board Member of READ Saskatoon, Co-chair of the READ Saskatoon PGI Committee (2012, 2013), Past-President and member of the Saskatoon chapter for Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs, Board Member of Saskatchewan Capital Network, Trustee for Sound Capital Real Estate Trust and a member of the Kinsmen Club of Saskatoon.

David Wright joined MGI Securities in June 2010 as a Senior Investment Banker for the Consumer, Industrial Products, and Technology sectors.
During the past two decades, David has gained extensive capital markets experience as a top ranked equity research analyst. In 2008, David’s research coverage was ranked first in the Greenwich Survey and, in 2002, he was named North America’s Top Stock Picker in his sector by StarMine. Prior to joining MGI, David was a Managing Director with BMO Nesbitt Burns as a sell side equity analyst covering the Software and IT Services sectors. Prior to this, David was Director of Research at Marleau, Lemire Securities. David has an MBA in Finance from Concordia University and an Economics degree from the University of Western Ontario.
