Mr. Bode joined MGI Securities as an Investment Banker in our Saskatoon Office in 2009. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in marketing and finance as well as undergraduate degrees in Biology and Agriculture. Mr. Bode’s initial focus was in the fields of science and research, working for Novartis, Cargill, and Sony Japan. He then utilized his experience in the entrepreneurial world by co-founding the first spin-off company off Canada’s largest science project, the Canadian Light Source (Synchrotron). Mr. Bode later worked for a large venture capital firm in Canada and was based out of Saskatchewan. Over the past number of years, he has worked for a national brokerage firm in the corporate finance division where he sourced, structured and placed capital for companies in Saskatchewan and across Canada. Mr. Bode sits on a number of committees and boards in the province of Saskatchewan and recently, he was awarded “100 People, 100 Reasons” as one of the 100 people over the past 100 years making a difference in Saskatoon.

Rob Knowles joined MGI Securities in August 2011 as an Investment Banker in our Calgary office focussing on the oil and gas industry.
Prior to joining MGI, Mr. Knowles worked at J.F. Mackie and Company Ltd. as VP Investment Banking and at TD Newcrest as a research associate covering large cap oil and gas companies. Mr. Knowles has a sound understanding of oil and gas company valuation and has detailed experience in all forms of equity and debt financing and capital structuring in the oil and gas industry.
Mr. Knowles holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from UBC and an MBA from the University of Calgary.

Paul Reid joined MGI Securities in July 2010 as a Senior Investment Banker to focus on the mining and metals investment banking practice.
For the past 10 years Mr. Reid has completed numerous financings for small to mid cap mining and metal explorers, developers and producers. Prior to joining MGI Securities, Mr. Reid worked for CIBC Mellon Global Securities Services and State Street Canada. Mr. Reid has a MBA from the Wilfrid Laurier School of Business and Economics and Undergraduate Degree in Economics from Queen’s University.

David Wright joined MGI Securities in June 2010 as a Senior Investment Banker for the Consumer, Industrial Products, and Technology sectors.
During the past two decades, David has gained extensive capital markets experience as a top ranked equity research analyst. In 2008, David’s research coverage was ranked first in the Greenwich Survey and, in 2002, he was named North America’s Top Stock Picker in his sector by StarMine. Mr. Rhee’s experience with investment valuation and deep knowledge of the technology sector in Canada has garnered him 3 Top 3 rankings from 2006 to 2009 in the Annual StarMine survey of top equity research analysts in Canada. Most recently, Mr. Rhee was ranked the #2 stock picker in the Canadian Software and IT Services sector for 2009. Mr. Rhee is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst and received his MBA from the University of Toronto.

Mr. Thompson joined MGI Securities as an Investment Banking Associate in our Saskatoon Office in 2010. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics (with distinction), a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Economics as well as a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Phoenix.
Upon receiving his Bachelor Degree, Mr. Thompson acted as a consultant with an international valuation firm that provides sophisticated financial and advisory services to real estate companies, investment firms, banking institutions, real estate developers, and other owners and operators of real estate across a variety of asset types. Prior to joining MGI, Mr. Thompson was a director in the Petroleum division of Saskatchewan’s largest company, providing financial feasibility analysis on petroleum development projects, and customer service and support to over 250 retail Co-op’s in Western Canada.
Mr. Thompson is a member and board participant of Saskatchewan Young Professionals and Entrepreneurs as well as a committee participant for Read Saskatoon.
